Natural Toothpaste With Miswak Extract 75 ml

Our fluoride-free toothpaste has been formulated with miswak extract and clove water to ensure your mouth feels fresh and plaque is effectively removed from teeth and gums. Miswak is often used as an alternative toothbrush, where users dip the miswak twig in water, before chewing the end off to create toothbrush-like bristles and then clean their teeth. As an extract, miswak has numerous antibacterial properties, which of course is crucial when it comes to oral hygiene.

We’ve also added clove water and calendula extract. One of the active ingredients found in clove is eugenol, which is often applied to toothache thanks to its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Of course, this makes it ideal for looking after your teeth and gums – don’t forget we only get one set of adult teeth! Calendula is an astringent (which helps cleanse teeth and gums), antimicrobial (which removes pathogenic microorganisms) AND it has anti-inflammatory properties – crucial for soothing inflamed gums.

Natural menthol provides a cooling sensation and minty taste that has become so familiar in dental care, but without any toxic or synthetic flavourings. As well as giving our toothpaste a lovely, minty taste, menthol also has anti-inflammatory properties to relieve sore or inflamed gums.

Xylitol is a natural sweetener which also said to improve dental health by slowing the growth of the bacteria most closely associated with causing tooth decay. You’ll find it in other dental hygiene products including chewing gum, mints or lozenges.

Why fluoride-free?

• Too much fluoride can cause dental fluorosis, which can cause brown or white spots on teeth
• We can ‘over-fluoride’ due to the fluoride naturally found in our brilliant tap water
• Only option for those with a fluoride allergy
• NHS dentists recommend the use of fluoride, but as with all your healthcare, the choice is ultimately yours, so we recommend you do your own research on the benefits of fluoride-free toothpaste and see whether you believe your intake of fluoride is sufficient without the need for a fluoride-filled toothpaste.
