All of our Primal Cure soaps are made with 100% organic olive oil, which comprises at least 50% of the soap. We love using olive oil in our soaps as it as a neutral scent, and is rich in skin-friendly vitamins A, D, K and E. Its lipid profile is very similar to human skin, making it an ideal source of moisture for your skin. Naturally-occurring polyphenols have antioxidant properties, while a compound called oleocanthal has anti-inflammatory properties. Finally, and an important one for cleansing soap, it has anti-bacterial qualities.
Garlic oil contains a naturally occurring chemical called ‘allicin’, a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compound. It is also a natural source of selenium, another form of antioxidant. All these properties, plus further antibacterial properties make this olive oil garlic oil soap ideal for using in the kitchen or bathroom.
